Reading the board
- Best price
- The price paying the most among the books that post the number most books post, whichever book that is, Novig or a sportsbook. A tie is marked on every book that pays it. A book at a different number is shown as such and never counts.
- Best elsewhere
- On one game's page Novig's row comes first, whatever its price. The row under it is the best price at the sportsbooks. It is headed Best price only when a sportsbook pays more than Novig on both sides.
- Fair, no-vig
- On the spread, total and moneyline: each book's two prices with its margin removed, then the middle across the books posting the same number. It is the market's consensus, not a prediction. Player props show the books' lines and prices only.
- Novig first
- Novig is listed first on every market where it posts a price, whether or not it has the best price. Best price goes on whichever book pays the most.
