The SimFather
Terms of Use
Plain terms, plainly. Using thesimfather.com means you accept what is below. The site sells a monthly subscription, described on the home page; everything else on it is information, not a promise. The rules of the paid evaluation itself are in the Program Rules, which you see before you buy.
1 · Accepting these terms
By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms cover the website. The paid subscription and the evaluation are also governed by the Program Rules, which are presented before you buy and which control if the two ever conflict on anything about the paid product.
2 · What The SimFather is
The SimFather is TheSimFather LLC, an independent daily fantasy sports (DFS) information service. It offers projections, ownership estimates, lineup-construction analysis, and a paid skill evaluation run on a simulated balance against real slates, that is, opinions, estimates and a scored exercise to inform your own decisions. It is information and tools, not a betting service and not a contest operator. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to DraftKings or any other contest operator, and any operator’s name that appears here is used only to describe compatibility, not to claim any relationship. It is not affiliated with Statyx either, whose reference data it licenses under a commercial license.
3 · No guarantees: estimates, not outcomes
Projections and simulations are estimates. They are not predictions of what will happen, not guarantees, and not financial or betting advice. Past results do not predict future results. You alone decide what lineups to enter and what money to risk, and you are solely responsible for those decisions and their outcomes. Daily fantasy sports involve financial risk, including the loss of your entry fees.
Some data on this site comes from other companies. Player salaries, game lists and the reference numbers on the home page come from outside sources, including Statyx, whose data we license. We do not control that data. We do not promise it is accurate, complete, or on time, and it can change or stop without notice. Check anything that matters to you against the contest site before you enter.
Attribution and licence. Reference data on this site and in the app, including the boards on the home page and the projections our tools start from, is provided by Statyx under a commercial licence. It is provided as is, we make no warranty about it, and it stays the property of the company we license it from. We use it inside our own product only. We do not resell or redistribute the raw feed, and using this site gives you no license or other right in that data. If our license to it ends or the feed stops, the parts of the site and the app that rely on it may change or go away.
What is ours is the rest: the lineup construction, the simulation, and the scoring of an evaluation. Licensed data can be an input to those. It is not the same thing as them, and no third party is responsible for how our own tools use it.
4 · Eligibility and where DFS is allowed
This site is for adults: you must be at least 18 years old, or 21 where that is the local requirement, to use it. Paid daily fantasy contests are restricted or prohibited in some US states and some countries. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law where you live, and not to use this site or act on it where daily fantasy sports are prohibited.
4A · Eligibility and location (the Lineup Generator)
The paid Lineup Generator is sold only in Allowed locations. It is not sold in these Excluded US states: Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington. It is not sold outside the United States, including US territories, until we open those places.
We check the network address on the request, and we ask you to confirm the same facts in a checkbox. Checking the box is not enough on its own. Using a VPN or any similar tool to hide or change your location is a breach of these terms.
Void where prohibited. SimFather Funded has its own eligibility rules, which may differ from the Lineup Generator.
5 · Play responsibly
Daily fantasy sports should be entertainment. Only play what you can afford to lose, and set your own limits on time and money before you start. If it stops being entertainment, stop. Help is available any time in the US at 1-800-GAMBLER or 1-800-MY-RESET, or by chat at ncpgambling.org/chat.
6 · The waitlist and the Discord
If you join the waitlist, your email is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The community Discord is an optional, third-party service governed by Discord’s own terms and by the server’s posted rules; behave accordingly, and understand that anything posted in a shared server can be seen by others there.
7 · Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site. In particular, do not: scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy its content; resell or redistribute it as your own; attempt to reverse-engineer the underlying methods; probe, attack, overload, or interfere with the site or its infrastructure; or use it for any unlawful purpose. The projections and analysis are provided for your personal use.
8 · Intellectual property
The SimFather name, logo, wordmark, the engraved emblem, the site’s copy, and the projections and analysis published here are owned by The SimFather and protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and use them for your personal, informational use. Product and operator names that appear here, including DraftKings, are the trademarks of their respective owners, referenced only to describe what the tools work with; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
9 · Links to other sites
This site links to third-party services such as Discord. Those services are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Following such a link is at your own discretion.
10 · Disclaimer of warranties
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate on it is accurate.
11 · Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The SimFather will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, contest entries, profits, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12 · Changes to the site and these terms
The service is new and will change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and we may update these terms; when we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree that the state and federal courts located in California are the proper venue for any dispute, to the extent permitted by law.
Questions about these terms: support@thesimfather.com. See also the Privacy Policy.
14 · Subscriptions, cancelling, and no refunds
Both products are monthly subscriptions. They renew automatically and keep renewing until you cancel. Your card is charged by Stripe; we never see or store the number.
The day pass. There is one exception to the sentence above. The day pass on the lineup generator is a single charge of $1, not a subscription, and it buys 24 hours of full access from the moment you check out. At the end of those 24 hours it becomes the $50 a month rate and is charged automatically, every month, until you cancel. Cancel at any point inside the first 24 hours and the dollar is the only thing you are charged. It is one per account: an account that has used its day pass cannot buy another one.
When the first charge happens. Both products open on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM Pacific. If you subscribe to the lineup generator or reserve a Funded plan before then, your card is authorised at that moment and the first charge is taken when the product opens, not when you sign up. You can cancel before the open for nothing. From the open onward, the first charge is taken when you subscribe.
What you pay. Funded is $19.99, $49.99, $99.99 or $199.99 a month depending on the plan. The lineup generator is $100 a month at the standard rate. If you run our logo the rate is $50 a month. Every one of those prices is on the pricing page next to the plan it belongs to.
The logo rate. There is a reduced rate on the lineup generator for people who run our logo on their DraftKings account. It is half the standard rate. DraftKings to start, FanDuel soon. To qualify you have to actually be running the logo we publish, downloadable from the pricing page, in a place the public can see, and you have to keep running it for as long as you are on the rate. Ask in the Discord and we will set it up. We decide who qualifies, we can ask you to show us, and we can move an account back to the standard rate at any time if the logo comes down or was never up. Nobody is entitled to this rate.
We can change prices, and we will tell you first. Prices, the intro rate, the logo rate and what a plan includes can all change. If a change raises what you pay on a plan you already hold, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and it will not apply to a month you have already paid for. Carrying on after that means you accept the new price. If you do not want it, cancel before the next renewal and your access runs to the end of the period you paid for. A change to a price we have not charged you yet, or to what a new customer pays, needs no notice.
Cancelling. Sign in, open your account page, and use Manage billing. That is the same place you change plan or update a card. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep access until then and you are not charged again. You do not have to email anyone or ask permission, and there is no cancellation fee. If the billing page will not load, email support@thesimfather.com and we will cancel it for you.
All sales are final. We do not give refunds. A payment buys a month of access and that access starts immediately, so the month you paid for is yours whether you use it or not. There is no window, no partial-month credit and no unused-time refund. The one exception is in section 17: if we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the month. Nothing else is refundable.
Cancelling and refunding are different things, and only one of them is available. Cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again; what you have already paid for runs to the end of its period. Nothing is clawed back and nothing extra is returned.
This does not take away any right the law gives you where you live. Some places require a refund in specific circumstances whatever a contract says, and where the law and this page disagree, the law wins.
15 · How Funded pays: a peer-ranked prize pool
This section takes effect when Funded opens on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 10:00 Pacific. It is published in advance so you can read the rules before you decide, and because we would rather you saw them early than late. Nothing in it applies to anything before that date, and the lineup generator is not affected by any of it.
You compete against the other participants, not against us. Funded is a simulated evaluation with a prize pool. The size of the pool for a month is set before the month is scored, and it is then divided among the participants who finished highest. We do not take a position on how any individual does, so where you finish changes how the pool is divided and never how much of it there is.
The pool. Each plan has its own pool. It is 75% of that plan's subscription revenue for the month, or the plan's guaranteed minimum if that is larger. The guarantees are $250 on Rookie, $400 on Pro, $600 on Elite and $750 on Legend, which is $2,000 across the four. Those guarantees hold whether anybody subscribes or not, and in a month where a plan's revenue does not cover its guarantee we pay the difference ourselves.
A month runs from the first to the last day of the calendar month, Pacific time.
Who is ranked. To be ranked in a month you have to have settled at least 10 slates, be up at least 20% on your starting balance, and have broken none of the published rules: no drawdown breach, no daily-loss breach, no going past the window, and no single slate accounting for more than 60% of your profit. That last one exists so a single lucky slate cannot carry anybody, and it is not waived for anyone. The eligibility and age rules in section 4 are checked again at the moment of payment.
How the pool is divided. Participants in a plan are ranked by how far up they finished as a percentage of their starting balance. The top fifth of the field is paid. First place takes the largest share and each place below takes proportionally less, on a published curve: place one carries weight 1, place two carries one half, place three one third, and so on, and each place is paid its weight as a fraction of all the weights added together. You can check your own share with a calculator.
Ties, rounding, and a small field. Tied participants split the shares of the places they occupy equally. If a tie reaches across the paid line, everyone in that tie is paid. Say the top fifth of a field comes to 10 places and five people finish level on places 8 to 12: the money attached to places 8, 9 and 10 is divided equally between all five of them, so two people finishing below the paid line are still paid, because they did not finish below anybody. Nobody is ever pushed out of the money by someone they tied with. Every amount is rounded down to the cent, and anything left over is added to the next month's pool for that plan rather than kept by us. If fewer than 5 participants qualify in a plan in a month, nothing is paid for that plan and the whole pool is added to the next month.
What this is not. It is not betting and we are not a sportsbook. There is no wagering, no odds, no stake at risk, and no way to deposit money to play. The balances, entry fees and profits inside Funded are simulated and have no cash value. The only money that changes hands is the subscription you pay and the prize pool we pay out of it.
Simulated results are not real results. A simulated evaluation is run against real slates and real scoring, but it is still a simulation. It carries no financial risk while it is running, and no simulated record can account for how somebody behaves when their own money is at stake. Past performance in a simulation does not predict anything.
We review a payment before we make it, and nothing is owed until that review is finished. Reaching the top of a board is not the same as being paid. Before any money moves we check that the account cleared the published rules, and we check that the person is who they say they are and is old enough and in a state where we operate. We may hold a payment while we look at it. We may refuse one, in whole or in part, if a rule was broken, if the account is not eligible, if the same person is behind more than one account, or if the result came from a bug, a bad data feed, or anything we judge to be abuse. We pay to a payment method in the account holder's own name and nobody else's. That decision is ours to make.
We can change this. We may change the pool percentage, the guarantees, the schedule, the minimum field, or any published rule, and we may suspend or end the program. Changes apply from the month after we publish them, never retroactively to a month already being scored.
15A · Get Back In and Safe Limits
These rules apply to Funded only, and only after Funded opens. They do not apply to the Lineup Generator.
Get Back In is a one-time reactivation after you hit a limit. You may use it once per month, and at most twice per seat. You must reactivate within 14 days of your first payout window. Funded is sold month to month only.
Safe Limits is included at no extra charge and takes $10 off Get Back In. The full price of Get Back In is confirmed at checkout. Nothing on this page invents a reactivation sticker price.
The fail screen and the account page show remaining uses and whether Safe Limits is on. Detail lives here, not in ads.
16 · SimCoins and rewards
This section takes effect when we turn rewards on. It is published in advance so you can read it first. Until then there is nothing to earn and nothing to claim.
SimCoins are free and they are not money. You earn them by showing up and taking part. You cannot buy them, at any price, and we will never sell them. They have no cash value. They are not redeemable for cash, they cannot be paid to a card or set against anything you owe us, they are not your property, and they cannot be given, traded, or moved to another account. They are a thank you for playing, nothing more.
What you can do with them. Swap them for merchandise, or for one month of the plan you already hold. There is a limit on how many you can earn in a day and a limit on how often you can redeem, and both are shown where you earn them.
They expire. A balance is cancelled after twelve months with no activity on the account.
We can change or end the program at any time, and that is our decision alone. That includes how many SimCoins anything earns, what anything costs, what you can swap them for, and whether the program runs at all. We can do it without notice. A SimCoin balance is never a debt we owe you, and ending the program is not us taking something from you.
We can cancel a balance we think was not earned honestly. That includes running more than one account, automating play, or exploiting a bug. If we cancel a balance for that reason we may close the account as well.
Tax. If what you receive is worth enough that tax applies, that is yours to handle, not ours.
17 · Your account, and when we can close it
One account per person. Your account is yours alone: do not share it, sell it, or let anybody else use it, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on it.
We can suspend or close an account at our discretion. We will normally tell you why, and we will normally tell you first, but neither is a promise. Reasons include breaking these terms or the Program Rules, running more than one account, letting somebody else use yours, giving us information that is not true, being in a place we do not serve, chargebacks, abuse of our staff or our community, or anything we reasonably judge to be an attempt to game the product. If we close an account for one of those reasons, we do not owe you a refund of the current month.
If we close an account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the month you paid for.
18 · Mistakes, and results we can undo
Software has bugs and data feeds are wrong sometimes. We can correct or undo a result, an entry, a balance, a ranking, a SimCoin balance, or a payment where it came from a mistake on our side, a bad or late feed from someone else, a rule that was not applied properly, or somebody exploiting any of those. That includes after the fact, and it includes taking back something already credited.
We can also cancel or reprice an order where the price shown was wrong. If you have already paid a wrong price, you get the difference back or the order cancelled, whichever you prefer.
We tell you when we do it. If we correct or reverse something that affected you, we email the address on your account, say what changed and why, and do it promptly once we find the error rather than holding it open indefinitely. If you think we got the correction wrong, reply and a person will look at it again.
What we will not do is quietly change a result that was correct. This section is for errors, not for outcomes we would rather have gone differently, and the notice above is what makes that difference checkable rather than a matter of our word.
19 · If you cost us something
If somebody brings a claim against us because of what you did, you agree to cover what it costs us, including reasonable legal fees. That covers your breaking these terms, your using the site somewhere it is not allowed, and anything you post or share through us. It does not cover anything that was our fault.
20 · The rest of it
If one part fails, the rest stands. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and everything else still applies.
Not enforcing something once does not waive it. If we let something go, we can still enforce it later.
Things outside our control. We are not liable for failing to do something because of an event we cannot control, including an outage at a provider we depend on, a failure of a data feed, a change in the law, or the contest sites changing their own rules or shutting down access.
We can transfer this agreement, for instance if the business is sold. You cannot transfer yours without our written say-so.
These terms, plus the Program Rules and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the site. Nothing anyone says in the Discord, on a stream, or in an email changes them.
Nothing here removes a right you have by law that cannot be removed by agreement.
21 · Referring somebody, and what it pays
Every account gets a referral code. It is on your account page. Sharing it is free and you do not need a paid subscription to have one.
What it pays: 5% of what a person you referred actually pays us, on every subscription payment they make, for as long as they stay subscribed. It is not a one-off signup bonus. It is calculated on the amount received after any discount or promotional code, not on the list price, and it is rounded down to the cent.
It is paid as credit on your account, and it is not cash. Credit is applied against what you owe us next. It cannot be paid out to a card or a bank account, there is no cash-out, and we do not send money to referrers.
It is held for 14 days before you can spend it. A payment can still be reversed by the payer's bank after we receive it, and a reward on a payment that came back is cancelled. If a reward was already spent when that happens, we may recover the value from your account.
You cannot refer yourself. A code does not pay on your own subscription, and we refuse a referral where the referrer and the person referred are the same account or, in our judgement, the same person.
The person you refer has to be eligible in their own right. They must meet the same age and location rules as anybody else, and we check that on their account before they can pay. Nothing accrues on an account we refuse.
What you get to see about them: a count and an amount. Not who they are, not what they bought, and not when. That is their business, not yours.
We can cancel a reward we think was not earned honestly. That includes running more than one account, paid advertising that bids on our own name, spam, posting your code where it breaks another site's rules, or misrepresenting what we sell in order to get a signup. If we cancel rewards for that reason we may close the account too.
We can change the rate or end the program at any time, and a change applies to payments received after we make it. Credit you have already earned stays yours to spend, including if we end the program.
Tax. If what you receive is worth enough that tax applies, that is yours to handle, not ours.
